What is the EEG?
- A government grant that aims to help businesses in the Food Services, Food Manufacturing and Retail sectors cope with rising energy costs through co-funding support to invest in energy-efficient equipment.
- The EEG will provide up to 70% support for SMEs to adopt pre-approved energy-efficient equipment such as invertor refrigerators. The grant support for qualifying costs will be capped at S$30,000 per company per year.

Who is eligible for the EEG?
- For companies in the Singapore Food Services, Food Manufacturing and Retail sectors.
- Has a minimum of 30% local shareholding.
- Has a Group Annual Sales Turnover not exceeding S$100 million, OR a Group employment size not exceeding 200 employees.
When is the EEG application date?
- Companies can start applying from 1 Sep 2022 to 31 Mar 2024.
- Companies will have up to 1 year from the time an application to approved to purchase and install the equipment, and submit claims for reimbursement.
